SGP bow for Buczkowski

Polish international Krzysztof Buczkowski is set for his full World Championship debut in the Motorsportwash.com European FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz on April 20.The 26-year-old has been handed the wild card berth on his Polish home circuit, where he served as an SGP track reserve three times in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He scored a point in the 2008 meeting after Swedish rider Freddie Lindgren was excluded for hitting the tapes.The Grudziadz-born man should get more of a chance to make an impression this time around, though, as dons the No.16 race jacket and is set for at least five rides.Buczkowski proved his international class last summer, when making his Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup debut in the Race Off at Malilla on July 12, scoring 11 points from five races.The local favourite is joined in the meeting by Bydgoszcz team mates Szymon Wozniak and Mikolaj Curylo, who will serve as track reserves.Wozniak lines up at No.17 and Curylo dons No.18. They will appear if one of the main 16 riders is unable to take an outing through injury, illness or other reasons, or due to being excluded for a starting offence.Sweden's Krister Gardell will referee the first European-staged SGP round of 2013.
