Alpinestars Jaws Leather Jacket

Spring is just around the corner, and that means a new riding season is just starting. That also means that new gear is being rolled out by many brands, including Alpinestars. One of their new releases, which is sure to be a hit, is the Jaws leather jacket. This aggressively styled piece combines solid Alpinestars protection with some new features to enhance both comfort and safety.

The outer layer of the jacket is made up of 1.3mm full-grain leather with Alpinestars’ tried and true TPU sliders protecting the shoulders. These details aren’t anything new, but the way that the leather sections are cut, arranged and interspersed with a variety stretch panels is. The pattern is very well thought out, with the stretch panels in the chest, arms, back and waist allowing the jacket to flex along with your body’s natural movement. More protection is found inside the jacket, with removable CE-certified armor in the shoulders and elbows. PE padding fills compartments in the chest and back, but they can be upgraded with optional Alpinestars Bionic Armor.

Alpinestars is producing two versions of the Jaws jacket - standard and perforated. The standard may not have the perforated front and back panels, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking airflow. Both models have large zippered vents at the top of each chest stretch panel to provide the desired amount of ventilation. The jaws also comes with a removable thermal vest liner, making it wearable in a wide range of weather conditions.

The new Alpinestars Jaws jacket is available in the following variants (some of which may be back ordered or available in very limited quantities).

Standard (Non-Perforated):
- Black
- Black/White

Perforated:
- Black
- Black/White
- Black/White/Green
- Black/White/Red

Stretch panels on each side of the chest help this jacket fit more body shapes, more comfortably.

The back features stretch stretch panels arranged in the same pattern as the front.

Zippered vents at the top of each stretch panel on the front can be zipped open, closed, or anywhere in between for adjustable airflow.

Alpinestars brought back the removable quilted liner for the Jaws jacket, making it wearable in a variety of conditions.
