Speed and Strength Speed Shop Leather Jacket

There aren’t too many jackets out there that will look at home on both cruisers and sportbikes, but the Speed Shop leather jacket from Speed and Strength is one of them. A combination of vintage looks, a premium, distressed cowhide construction, and a down to earth price tag make the Speed Shop jacket a winner.

As previously mentioned, the Speed and Strength Speed Shop jacket is constructed out of premium cowhide leather that has a nicely distressed finish. The 1.0-1.1mm thickness of the leather may not match that of a race suit, but it does make it much more supple and flexible while still providing plenty of abrasion resistance. Additional protection is provided by CE certified Vault armor in the back, shoulders and elbows.

The cut of the Speed Shop is fairly relaxed, which helps keep things comfortable in a variety of riding positions. Metal buckle/leather strap adjusters at the waist give you a way to adjust the fit and add add to the vintage style. An effective perforation scheme provides plenty of airflow to keep you from overheating on warm days. These perforations are found along both collar bones, the majority of each arm, and down the center of the back. An insulated liner is included with the jacket so that wearing it in varying temperatures is not a chore.

If you are interested in the Speed and Strength Speed Shop leather jacket, you can get more information by contacting Brad through this forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 810. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and you can look forward to a quick response.

The Speed Shop jacket features a distressed leather that feels like it has already been broken in.

Stylish buckles just above the waist on each side add a nice visual element and make it easy to adjust the jacket to your size.

A quilted liner provides insulation when you need it and can be removed when you don’t.

1986 gpz750r g2/3 carb settings

Hi, it's been a long time since I have frequented these forums :)

I'm looking for a little help please as information on this rare beast is a little thin on the ground, if some kind person reading this can confirm or supply the correct information I'm seeking, it would be most appreciated.

Can someone confirm the carb settings for a UK model 1986/7 GPZ750R (like the 900)
I believe the float setting to be 17mm and the pilot screw to be 2 1/2 turns.

cheers Neil

Up For Grabs: Half of the American Motorcycle Industry

It is a fact that isn’t often discussed in the motorcycle industry, but roughly 50% of all on-road motorcycles sold in the United States come from a little company called Harley-Davidson. In 2012 for instance, the Bar & Shield brand sold 161,678 units here in the US, while for the same year the MIC reports 318,105 on-road units were sold nationwide, across all manufacturers. In a way, the statistic is unfair. A cynical observer would say ...

MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo Returns to Assen, But Will He Race?

2013 Imola World Supersport QP1 Results: Lowes A Session Ahead

As the rest of the field starts to put laps in approaching Sam Lowes's morning times, he sets times that it will take until tomorrow for the rest of the field to catch up to. While his lead over second place was merely 0.7 of a second, that was to Riccardo Russo, the only other man to put in a 1'51 lap all day. Michael Van Der Mark completes the provisional front row, while Fabien Foret and Kenan Sofuoglu are on the third and fourth lines, respectively.

2013 Assen MotoGP FP2 Result: Marquez Revels In Torrential Conditions

Marc Marquez has topped a torrentially wet second free practice in impressive fashion, leading wily veteran Valentino Rossi by two tenths of a second. There was quite a large gap back to Dani Pedrosa in third place whose lap time put him ahead of fellow Honda rider Stefan Bradl, the Ducati pairing of Dovizioso and Hayden and Cal Crutchlow in seventh. The session was a nice opportunity for CRT riders to show their talents and get their name up in lights as Danilo Petrucci, Yonny Hernandez and Michael Laverty rounded out the top ten positions.

The big story of the session however was an enormous crash for world champion and in-form man Jorge Lorenzo. The Yamaha rider suffered a scary high side at the fastest corner of the notoriously quick Assen circuit. He was able to walk away gingerly, but appeared to be nursing his left arm in a fashion that would indicate a potential collar bone injury. He was later helped into an ambulance and given an initial assessment. The Spaniard was finally taken to the circuit medical centre for further treatment of a suspected fractured left collar bone, more information regarding the injury will be provided as it's made available.

Jorge Lorenzo Fractures Collarbone In Assen Practice

Jorge Lorenzo has fractured his left collarbone during practice at Assen. The factory Yamaha man was thrown from his bike at the Hoge Heide left-right flick, the fastest part of the circuit, and landed right on his shoulder. He was taken to the medical center, where examination revealed a fractured collarbone. Lorenzo is to fly back to Barcelona tonight, to have surgery on the collarbone. He will not take part in the race in Assen on Saturday.

The injury came at the worst possible time for Lorenzo. Although a fractured collarbone can be fixed quickly with a plate, that still leaves the injury painful and weak. With the Sachsenring in two weeks' time, followed seven days later by Laguna Seca, Lorenzo faces two tracks consisting mainly of left-hand corners, placing a lot of pressure on the injury. If Lorenzo is capable of racing at Sachsenring, he will face a very difficult challenge securing strong results. One DNF and the possibility of two further weak results would make it very difficult for Lorenzo to defend his championship.

More news on Lorenzo's injury if and when we receive it.
