Khomitsevich takes first day

The sun was shining over the city of Uppsala this cold day for the FIM Ice racing World Championships final 7. The biggest question that the spectators was asking was perhaps if it would be possible for Dimitry Koltakov to do anything to challenge Daniil Ivanov for the world championship title. But even though Koltakov was racing at a very high level all the way to the final heats this day it just was not enough and he had to see himself beaten again. The final race was to be between four russians as we all are used to by now. Daniil Ivanov, Dimitry Koltakov, Dimitry Khomitsevich and Eduard Krysov. Koltakov fell and even though Ivanov was beaten by Dimitry Khomitsevich in the final it meens that the distance to the overall gold medal have growned to twelve points. But still, everything can happen in Ice Speedway. Welcome to a new day with exciting ice racing on Studenternas IP tomorrow. Starts at 13.00. Final heat: 1. Dimitry Khomitsevich, RUS 2. Daniil Ivanov, RUS 3. Eduard Krysov, RUS 4. Dimitry Koltakov, RUS Spectators: 4217
