Vortex V3 Gas Cap

The first five-minute call comes over the PA system, and you go to start your bike - only to have the low fuel light come on. You grab the fuel can when you realize you don’t know where you put the key for your OEM gas cap. You’ve got a sweet keyless ignition but you never got around to buying a keyless gas cap from Riders Discount - and now you regret it. That may be a familiar scenario for some of you, so you know it’s not a fun situation to be in. With Vortex’s recently released V3 gas cap you won’t to worry about that happening again.

The Vortex V3 is designed to be easy to use, safe and lightweight. Its coarse threads let you quickly secure the cap without cross threading and the large contoured finger tabs make it easier to open than the last model – even with gloved hands. The V3 also received a new safety lock switch to prevent it from opening unintentionally due to contact or vibrations. Installation is pretty painless since it is vented with integrated dual check valves, so all you need to do is remove the OEM gas cap. Doing so will not only get you an easier to use cap, but it will allow you to cut some weight since the whole package weighs only .4 lbs (up to 55% lighter than your stock setup).

These aren't listed on our website yet, so call Brad at 866.931.6644 ext 810 for your forum pricing! You can also send any questions by private message through the forum, or email FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!

The cap features large contoured tabs to allow easy use - even with large fingered race gloves.

The addition of the safety lock prevents the cap from coming loose due to contact or vibration. This safety lock comes in silver by default, but you can also order optional replacement tabs in black, red, blue or gold.

The coarse threads of the V3 mean that you won’t have to worry about cross threading when closing it in a hurry.
