Pleven (Bulgaria) June 24, 2012 - The Gran Prix of Bulgaria has began yesterday with a sunny and hot weather. Today the "Dolna Mitropolia" circuit wakes up with rain and lower temperatures, but this didn't discourage the numerous audience who wanted to watch this third GP of the FIM Supermoto World Championship 2012, after the first two rounds held in Italy on 15th April in Ottobiano and on the 27th May in Palermo.The intentional circuit of Pleven, well known for the World Championship from 2007, witnesses the first victory this year for the S1 of the Finnish Mauno Hermunen on his TM. With his two victories of today and his third position in the third race, the Team SHR rider gains now his second position in the classifications. Second position of the day for the championship leader, the French Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) who, although not very comfortable on this track, has gained two third positions and a first position in the third race. Third position for the defending World Champion, the French Adrien Chareyre on his Aprilia Fast Wheels Team who arrived tenth in the first race and second in the last two races, gaining a fourth position in the classifications. Fourth position for the Italian Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing), who arrived second, fourth and sixth in the three races of today. Here the other riders listed in the top ten: in order, the Slovenian Uros Nastran (Suzuki Lux Performance), the Bulgarian Angel Karanyotov (Honda), the Italians Christian Ravaglia (Ktm Miglio), Teo Monticelli (Honda Freccia), Massimiliano Verderosa (Honda HBV) and the British Matthew Winstanley (TM SHR).S1 1st RACE: The Finnish Mauno Hermunen (TM SHR) is the fastest at the beginning of this first race, right before the Italian Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing), followed by the British Mattthew Winstanley (TM SHR), the French Championship leader Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) and his brother, the defending champion Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia Fast Wheels).Hermunen runs at his fastest and, after twelve laps, ends up first before Ivan Lazzarini, who has constantly followed him throughout the whole race. Third position for Thomas Chareyre, after him the Slovenian Uros Nastran (Suzuki Lux Performance) and then Matthew Winstanley, who has lost the third position he held at the beginning. After them the Bulgarian Angel Karanyotov (Honda), the Italian Christian Ravaglia (Ktm Miglio), the Czech Pavel Kejmar (Ktm), the Italian Elia Sammartin (Suzuki Racing Pergetti). Adrien Chareyre arrives tenth, losing a lot of positions.S1 2nd RACE: Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) becomes first right at the beginning with - in order - Mauno Hermunen (TM SHR), Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia Fast Wheels), Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda Racing), Uros Nastran (Suzuki Lux Performance), Christian Ravaglia (Ktm Miglio), Teo Monticelli (Honda Freccia), Max Verderosa (Honda HBV) following him.But Hermunen tries his best and becomes leader of the race, leaving Thomas Chareyre behind, after his brother Adrien and the Italian Lazzarini, who surpass him as well. No possibilities for the other riders, Hermunen remains first until the end, when the race director waves the chequered flag, declaring Hermunen winner. Behind him Adrien Chareyre gains the second position, then - in order - Thomas Chareyre, Lazzarini, Nastran, Verderosa, Ravaglia, Karanyotov, Monticelli and the Italian Giovanni Bussei who arrives in the top ten.S1 3rd RACE: The French Thomas Chareyre (TM Factory Racing) takes this last opportunity of the GP of Bulgaria and leads the race at the beginning, before his brother Adrien (Aprilia Fast Wheels), the Slovenian Uros Nastran (Suzuki Lux Performance), Angel Karanyotov (Honda), the Italian Ivan Lazzarini (HM Honda) and the winner of the last two races, the Finnish Mauno Hermunen (TM SHR). Hermunen is the one who brightens up the last laps of the race by gaining the third position soon. Thomas won't give up his position and wins the race, thus increasing his scores as championship leader. Honor position for Adrien Chareyre and third position for the Finnish Hermunen, who wins the GP of Bulgary and reduces his score gap to the championship leader.
