Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup starting line-ups confirmed

Denmark will have a host of King's Lynn track specialists in their ranks when they launch their Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup defence after the starting line-ups for the competition were confirmed.King's Lynn No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen teams up with triple world champion Nicki Pedersen and former Stars rider Kenneth Bjerre.FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Michael Jepsen Jensen completes their line-up to face Team Great Britain, Sweden and the United States of America at the Norfolk Arena in Event 2 on July 15.Team Great Britain boss Neil Middleditch gives a debut to Craig Cook, who links up with British champion Tai Woffinden, Chris Harris and Edward Kennett.Injury-ravaged Sweden are captained by Fredrik Lindgren. He is joined by former Grand Prix stars Peter Ljung and Peter Karlsson. Jonas Davidsson returns to the fold as Andreas Jonsson, Daniel Nermark, Linus Sundstrom and Tomas H Jonasson all miss out with injuries, and Antonio Lindback sits out.The USA are led by double world champion Greg Hancock. Ryan Fisher captains the team and they are joined by Ricky Wells and Gino Manzares.Poland track all three of their SGP riders Tomasz Gollob, Jaroslaw Hampel and Krzysztof Kasprzak for Event 1 against Australia, Russia and Latvia at Polish venue Czestochowa on July 13. Former FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Maciej Janowski completes a powerful quartet.Russia are led into action by brothers Grigorii and Artem Laguta as national icon and World Championship leader Emil Sayfutdinov misses the Monster Energy SWC with a broken fifth metatarsal on his left foot. His replacement in the team is Viktor Kulakov. Andrey Kudryashov completes the team line-up.Australia are skippered by world champion Chris Holder, who is joined by Moldow Danish SGP winner Darcy Ward, Aussie champion Troy Batchelor and newcomer Jason Doyle.Latvia have FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship finalist Andzejs Lebedevs in their team as well as former world junior bronze medallist Maksims Bogdanovs. Kasts Puodzuks and Vjaceslavs Giruckis complete the team.The winners of each event join the Czech Republic in the Final at Prague's Marketa Stadium on July 20.
