15 October 2012, Sepang – The 22nd edition of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix is set to rock fans this year from 19 to 21 October.
No less than 60 trade and vending operators including major bike manufacturers will be present to display the world’s top bike models, performance parts and biking merchandise.
Sepang International Circuit, the organisers of this year’s MotoGP, is targeting a record of 70,000 fans for this year’s race.
To be held on 20 October, the Rockaway Festival 2012 mega concert features legendary metal masters led by Max Cavalera of Soulfly, punk phenomenon MxPx All Stars and metal core sensation Unearth and supported by top local groups such as Hujan, Love Me Butch and Massacre Conspiracy, Bunkface, Revival, The Padangs, Go Gerila and Twilight Action Girls. Malaysian GP ticket holders enjoy a 25% discount off the tickets to the concert.
On Sunday, 21 October, the Malaysian Rock Festival concert will showcase performances by Rustyblade, Wings and Superfriends featuring Mus May, Azlan and The Typewriter; and other top Malaysian bands.
A Motorsport Business Forum organised by SIC in conjunction with the event on 18 October 2012 aims to bring together the world’s motorcycle business community with members of the two-wheel racing fraternity. Delegates and attendees can hear from motorcycle businesses and racing communities about the overall status of the industry.
Tickets for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2012 are priced as low as S$10 for a single day entry at the Hillstands. There is a special package for two-days Grandstand Tickets plus limited edition Malaysian GP jerseys at S$91 for Main Grandstand tickets, S$67 for K1 Grandstand or S$53 for F Grandstand tickets.
