Ivanov leads Final 1 in Russia

MOTUL FIM Ice Speedway Gladiators World Championship, Krasnogork (RUS) - ReviewDaniil Ivanov confirmed his determination to lift the individual title with an emphatic win over two days in Krasnogorsk in front of nearly 24,000 happy spectators.On Saturday he scored a spectacular unbeaten win and set up the fastest time of the afternoon on a perfectly prepared track.With temperatures hovering around freezing on the second day a more relaxed performance saw him drop points to fellow countrymen Vitaly Khomitschevich and Pavel Chaika but he recovered to win the final and leave Moscow with an overall 5 point lead.Austrian Franz Zorn had a frustrating meeting having scored 11 points on the first day. However he could manage only 3 on Sunday including a retirement and a disqualification for a start infringement.
