Indian Grand Prix to skip a year in 2014 | 2014 F1 calendar
The Indian Grand Prix will not be held in 2014 but will return to the F1 calendar in 2015, Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed.

Bell Star Carbon Race Day Helmet
Bell’s top of the line Star Carbon helmet is back for 2013 with new graphics and a revised shape. The new shape is based on the RS-1, which was introduced after the Star, and featured an extremely well fitting intermediate oval headform. Other than the shape, the Star Carbon goes relatively unchanged, and retains all the features that made it so popular to begin with.
As with the previous Bell Star Carbon helmets, this version uses an outer shell that is made from 100% carbon fiber. Bell spent a great deal of time engineering the shell to be not only lightweight and strong, but very aerodynamic as well. What they came up with was an angular shape with a uniquely contoured spoiler, both of which make this helmet extremely stable and resistant to buffeting. Air is also directed into the variety of strategically placed vents at the front in order to push warm, stale air out through the exhaust vents at the back. All vents are independently adjustable so that you can dial in the ventilation for a variety of conditions.
Another feature that goes unchanged is the shield system. The Star Carbon uses their fog and scratch resistant NutraFog II face shield in order to keep your view clear. It’s also treated with a potent anti-UV coating so that you don’t have to worry about your face being burnt red after a day’s ride in the sun. Bell’s 3Mode Shield allows you to quickly lock the visor down, crack it open for added ventilation and swap out faceshields with no tools required. And don’t forget to ask about a Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromatic faceshield. These visors have the same great benefits of the included unit, but also change their tint based upon lighting conditions. They darken quickly (~10 seconds) when the sun is out for squint-free daytime riding.

On bikes, foreigners dominated the grid with their 12-competitor legion among the 46 entrants. Today the best rider was Paulo Gonçalves (Speedbrain 450 Rally), first runner-up in the FIM World Championship, followed by Spaniard Marc Coma (KTM), leader. Third best rider was Frenchman Michael Metge (Yamaha). The best Brazilian rider was the Minas Gerais based Nielsen Bueno (Honda) - who won the Super Prime yesterday -, in 5th place. According to the organization, tomorrow the rally starts for real, towards Uruaçu, in a 287-Km special.There will be a total of 4,115 Km, from which 2,488 of timed sections in nine days of race."It was a very short day, I got acquainted with the roadbook, with the Brazilian rally style. I was not used to cattlegrids, but I liked a lot", said Gonçalves.Coma, who is directly dueling with the Portuguese in the dispute for the World Championship was also cool. Bou moves closer to seventh title
Two wins at the British Trial Grand Prix over the weekend has seen Toni Bou – Repsol Montesa move closer to taking the 2013 FIM Trial World Championship. This would be his seventh successive outdoor title and would match the achievement of Dougie Lampkin. Jordi Tarres also holds seven FIM Trial World Championships, but his did not come all in a row. Speaking after his most recent wins, and after surviving a late crash Bou stated the following. "It was almost a perfect weekend right until nearly the end. The crash in section seven on the final lap was a big and painful one. As soon as I landed on the rock I knew it was quite serious, especially when I saw that the blood was coming out quickly. The team made a good reaction and did a good repair to get me to the finish. I am sore, but now that the doctor has closed the hole I should be OK in a few days. These two wins this weekend are very important for the championship, but we still have work to do in France."The final round of the 2013 FIM Trial World Championship will be played out in Isola 2000, France over 31st August / 1st September.
